So, I (finally) graduated a few weeks ago and have been doing my ‘consolidation’ runs with mixed results. My pace has varied and I think the most I ever covered in 30 mins was 4.4km.
I have dyspraxia and zero sense of direction so running around the streets now that the park is closed at night has been quite a challenge; I usually just turn around and retrace my steps at the 15 minute mark. Last night I tried to run in a loop and got TOTALLY lost. After 30 minutes and 4.04km I stopped and had to consult Google Maps and was about 20 minutes walk from home in pitch darkness and pouring rain 😕 Started walking with legs like lead but after a few minutes I decided just to run again. Covered another 2km...! So ran 6km in total.
Never ever thought I’d be able to do that in my life. This whole Couch to 5K experience has been full of surprises.

Fantastic effort, have some nice stretch today too so stiffness doesn't set in. Time to pop over to the bridge forum to see where you can head next. Happy running
Well done for getting out there LSR! If you’re doing 4.4k in 30 minutes I’d count that as success - I’m still only managing 3 in that time and I graduated in August! Would it help to take a map and walk a few routes of varying lengths that you could then use later as your running routes? That way you’d be on familiar territory and less likely to get lost? Happy running!
