As the end of the month nears I have reflected on the last 29 days and I am amazed at what I have achieved...
I graduated from C25K, have ran 3 times a week since then, completed a parkrun in the rain, signed up for Bridge to 10K, have done a minimum of 30 minutes exercise every day (now on week 4 of S&F) as well as doing core building exercises, have still stopped smoking and haven't drank alcohol (sober for October). I have raised over £200 for the Royal British Legion as doing a 5k poppy run on Saturday too which I am looking forward to
All of the above would never have been possible without the support of everyone here and the advice when I started my C25K journey so thank you

You're doing amazingly well. I know I should do S&F but I haven't got round to it.
Good luck on the 5k poppy run on Saturday and that's great that you've raised £200 😊
I also wouldn't have got this far without the people on here.
Well done you, I know how hard the smoking thing is. Quitting smoking is one of the hardest things people can do. I think picking up a running clothes habit will be much healthier.
I have kept myself busy doing 30 mins a day and I am still sober for October. I actually feel much more relaxed and at peace with myself since I stopped. So that's the running or the lack of booze or both. Either way I am keeping up the running and moderating the drinking.
we raised over £250 on the SFO thing so you are a fabulous fund raiser this month.
Tonight I am off for an easy 35mins on the tread mill at the gym while my son does his Karate, it will be easier after the hills last week I hope. I was rightly chastised for going a bit bonkers on Sunday and nearly running 6k!!! so I am on easy run detention today and Friday.
I was starting to become a distance queen, so I have reset my long term target. all i want is a bit thinner and much more fitter (which i feel already). So, now it is to be a 3 times a week runner doing 40 mins twice and an hour plus once a week.
Then I can pop the odd 5k park run into that plan in 2020. possibly a half in 2021???? oh here i go again... lol.
Massive congratulations tiggs1 you and I graduated around the same time. I can’t believe how far we have gone in the last month. Great fundraising effort 👌🏻
You are making such good progress in your achievements tiggs1. Congratulations on quitting smoking, you can drink a little alcohol on special occasions like graduating from C25K or running your first 10K, good luck for your 5K Poppy run on Saturday, you will have to miss parkrun this week.
I will miss PR this week and I am volunteering again the week after as I start my B210K program and I am going to do the 5.5km run on the Sunday of that weekend. I have a lot of travelling with work in November so I am having to plan my runs carefully to stay on track
