Yes, indeed you can. If you set the incline to 1% it makes it a bit more realistic as of course outside is not completely flat.

Hi,
as a C25K graduate and an experienced treadmill runner, I'd say there's little point in setting the incline to 1% at this stage. Running outside will feel different, regardless of what incline you set.
Right now, you should concentrated on making sure you're keeping your runs at a nice easy pace. I did the whole of the program on a treadmill and enjoyed it.

You can run wherever you like! People have done this in the gym, in underground carparks, in the garden and there was even someone who ran around her sitting room! Mind you, for me a big part of the joy of running is to be outdoors, with the sights and sounds, smells and weather. I don't really know how the treadmill runners can bear it...
