I’m having to repeat W4 as I had a knee injury and really struggled with this week . Repeat W4 R1 tonight got my breathing right but it’s the ache in the legs that makes me want to finish before the 5 mins is up 😫but I kept going ( just ) . Why the hell does it jump from R5 W2 8 mins to W5 R3 20 mins 😫😫😫😫😫 how am I ever going to do that it next week for gods sake ??

Are you drinking enough water? I had problems with my legs and was advised to drink more water EVERY day not only on the days I run. I am now drinking 2.5litres minimum on most days and it has made a massive difference.

With regards to W5R3... stay slow and you will be able to do it. W5R1 and W5R2 are both 21 mins of activity if you consider the brisk walk between both runs. I cried when I got close to the end of my 20 mins after realising I was actually going to achieve it as I had no faith in myself or the plan.

Trust it and just do the best you can :)

Well done, you pushed through.

Every W5 workout is shorter than the W4 workouts, as explained in this post healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Do you stretch after every run to pull out any contractions avoiding carrying them into the next run?

And as tiggs1 asks, are you drinking 2 to 3 litres of fluid each and every day, as recommended in the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Relax and stop worrying........it is counterproductive.
