I’m trying to pick up the threads of where I finished my running before I went to Spain ages ago. I did a couple of 20 minutes runs no problem. So Monday I upped it to 25 minutes and completed it. Today I went for 25 minutes again and couldn’t do it 😩 I managed about 17 minutes.
My poor little legs wouldn’t carry me. Plus for some reason I always end up bursting for a pooh while running. It’s no fun at all but I’m trying not to be too hard on myself.
I’m throwing a party when I eventually graduate, everyone welcome x

Perhaps as you have been off running for more than two weeks you should go back to week 5, there you have two runs with interval walks and the 20 minutes one, as for 😂during your runs, GO if possible just before you run. 🏃 😊
Not a disaster at all!! A practice run!! Slow it down! You probably ran too fast to get to the loo!! A horrid feeling that. Try warm water with lemon the minute you open your eyes. Helps some people!
I’m finding returning quite tough too. I’m sure we can do it, we just need to keep the determination going. I’m not sure if it’s physical or psychological for me tbh though. But I’m going to persevere 💪🏻 We’ll get there!
Thank you for that - I think we both need a little extra encouragement! I tried changing coaches to MJ to see if that would help, but I think I prefer Jo 😊
I have been trying all the coaches as I like the company when I run. I do like Jo, you can tell she talks for a living, she's very natural. I like Sanjeev Kohli too as he's funny. Michael Johnson is great too, but his voice gives me feelings that aren't compatible with running....
We all have bad runs, if you succeeded every time it proberly would not be worth doing. Easy is boring so don,t beat yourself up there is always the next run. 😎 go for it!!!
Ooh, we love a party! You know the drill - slowly slowly and then slow down. You’ll be fine next time out I’m sure - good luck and let us know how you get on!
I know the feeling I didn't run on my holiday. Then had several health niggles holiday tummy, migraine, asthma issues that meant I didn't run for 6 weeks. I did some 1 run from first couple of weeks then retraced my steps from week 3 (I think) my run today has got me up to where I left off in the summer! Keep going x
Hey Tazzy_wazzy ...dont despair, today just wasn't your day, honestly, it happens to all of us. You've obviously got the capabilities for the 20 mins because you've done it before but I'm not sure how long ago? Why dont you go to week 4? Then move on to week 5 and see how you go??? I think it's always better to finish a run on a high rather than gain for something and not quite manage...you will get there, and when you do, I'll be joining the party!! Keep us posted
