So I have completed session 11 this morning, so almost completed week 4. Definitely more of a struggle(motivation) with last 2 sessions in the rain! Feeling okay, legs no problem but as always ever since I was a kid it is the breathing that is always the problem. I cannot seem to regulate it when I am running, and really struggle with the deep-breathing technique when active.

Are you going to fast if breathing is a problem. Slow down and experiment with when is best for you to breathe. I find if told to breathe after set amount of paces it becomes an issue for me, but letting myself breathe naturally works. Everyone is different. Keep up the good work

It wasn’t until I was running for at least 20 minutes solid that I found any sort of rhythm to my breathing. The good news is that you’re breathing..... it’s when you stop that you should be worrying 😉

As stated in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... if you are having trouble with breathing, slow down and if the technique advised in the app and podcasts does not work for you, just ignore it and breathe as you always have.

You should be able to speak aloud clear ungasping sentences as you run. If not, you are going too fast for your current fitness level.

The only way to help with your breathing is to slow down even more when running. It will help . Good luck 😊
