Hi all! I started the programme thinking I wouldn’t last past week 1 so I didn’t do any research on anything running related. I just now completed W4R1 and I’m still enjoying it which is a huge surprise to me! I was nervous as it’s the most I’ve run in one session in my adult life at least, more than 20 years, but I got through it - the mental hurdle being hardest of all. Feeling happy now!
I joined this forum just the other day and find it very encouraging and the tips so helpful! I am a little worried about potential injuries in the harder weeks but feel far more informed in how to try to avoid them. Thank you all and good luck to you all!

You seem to echo my thoughts exactly! I’d been putting it for months, really wished I’d started earlier in the year but just like you say, better late than never !
You will want and watch anything to do with running soon just you wait. I now buying a monthly magazine, I watch the running channel on YouTube and bought a garmin watch it's crazy. Also on here it's the best place ever. Just keep going the way you are and stretch after every run. Well done you 😊😊
Thank you! I can just imagine how the obsession starts. We had a 20 minute conversation at work today about running that I could actually participate in - love it!
I’ve just completed wk4r1 too and can’t quite believe I did it. Bit achy this morning though, so glad of the rest day before I attempt it again! It looked like a really big jump up so I was really dreading it beforehand too.
It gets a bit serious around week 4, doesn't it, suddenly it becomes real. We really are runners! Try the stretches that Buddy has linked to on a non-running day, it might help the aches. I do them as my cooldown after every run, it really helps me, and I notice it the next day if I forget.
