Doing well

I am so happy to be going out every other day for my C25k. Just finished my W2D3 and instead of a 30 minute jog/walk , I went ahead and did a 60

Minute. It felt wonderful, but I have to remind myself that I should go slowly to not have injuries. Next week will stick to the 30 minutes.

Cheers to you all

:) - I remember also doing that in some of the very early weeks - the 30 minutes seemed very easy so I did it twice. BUT - have Faith!! It WILL get HARDER!!!! :)

I know. I should be careful not to be taken by the joy of the moment running.

Training plans, such as C25K, are gently progressive for good scientific reasons based upon the way in which our bodies adapt to exercise.

We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increased injury risk.

You just breached the 10% rule employed by experienced runners to extend their training load.

The plan works with minimal injury risk.

Going your own way is unknown and potentially risky.

Take care.
