Discovered something pretty cool!!๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜

I bet you peeps all know this already, but hey, I'm sharing anyway, it might help someone else!๐Ÿ˜Š

I was out for my usual 5k attempt, I say attempt because sometimes 5k is beyond my reach, and I head home and do a 4k instead....or 3k...but I was determined....

I was going along the path, feeling a bit 'out of it' I'm not even sure what I mean really...just sort, moving along letting my legs do the work on their own? Not feeling it at all...๐Ÿ™„, I even began to feel a bit bored!!๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Then I had a thought, instead of just sort of leaving my legs to it, I began to really think about what I was doing and I realised I could 'use' my legs much more effectively, just keep pushing that pavement backwards, and keep powering forwards!? And, when I began to focus my energy, ' keep on pushing that pavement backwards' I realised I was immediately much more 'in the run' and I discovered how good it felt and, oh boy I enjoyed that run!! So now, I make my legs do the work, just keep on pushing that pavement.......๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

I apologise for my ramblings, I just wanted to share my rediscovery of the joy of running!!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’•

I sort of do that - I imagine a rope leading far off into the distance and bit my bit, I'm slowly pulling myself along it. Works especially well on hills.

Worth giving it a try. So much is in the head rather than in the legs.

You make it sound so easy! Just keep that feeling for the next time you're struggling!

I felt like it was sort of easier? But also not, because I was then going faster as well? But definitely, infinitely more enjoyable ๐Ÿ˜Š
