Park Run 5, the weather hot. I knew it was difficult to do a PB again, but I enjoyed the camaraderie that experienced, lovely chats, whilst running. Great support, and a nice natter at the end. My position 4th in my age category. Which made up for the slower run, well a minute slower, but just great.
I love running! I love runners!
Thanks to all on here for the support you have given me. And the fabulous support and respect from other runners.

Well done. It’s lovely to go out and do a parkrun without putting yourself under PB pressure. Sometimes I train for faster runs and just try for a PB every 6-8 weeks. Nice running.
Did my 5th Rising Sun PR yesterday. I knew it would be hot but started a bit too fast with the crowd, and later had to walk a couple of times, but finished well. The girls pushing prams were in front of me so they disappeared into the distance, unlike last week when one flew past me.
Overall felt satisfied, no achilles probs, finished 1st in my age group, and in fact was oldest in run.
Well done. That’s my next challenge to complete a park run. But today I had confirmation that I am now a RUNNER: a load of cyclists we’re coming towards me and the front one shouted back “on the left- runner!” How cool is that? I was totally made up! Keep up the good work everyone. X
