Just an update for those who helped and supported me from the very beginning in Feb this year.
So when I started I weighed 22.5st and was a size 26/28. I could walk quite well but a couple of steps of running and I was as red as a beetroot and gasping for breath.
I am now 18.5st and a size 22. I still run 3 x a week varying from my fast 4K, a long very slow 8k and a medium 5k. I was really happy doing this but over the last couple of weeks the gremlins had started again....”look at yourself, you’re ridiculous” “people are laughing at you” and “all the gear-no idea” all thoughts plaguing my runs. I kept going but wasn’t sure how long I’d be able to keep fighting them.
So over the weekend I downloaded the C25k+ stepping stones podcast and this morning ran with Laura once again in my ear. Guess what- no gremlins....I was so focussed at keeping my steps in pace and listening to her reminders and tips about posture and technique that before I knew it I was back on the cool down walk. All I can say is thank the dogs for the whole C25k programme. It is truly awesome and I can’t wait to go out on weds and do the speed stepping stone podcast.
Once again a mahoosive thank you to everyone who has given me so much support since Feb. I wouldn’t be here if not for you guys.
Newbies....you can do this. Trust this amazing plan and have faith in yourself.
🌟xx

Well done to Twinkke2 on running with Laura the +C25K Stepping Stones podcasts. I have ran them as well, might have another little session with them soon.
Oh my days, what fantastic weight loss! You must be so very proud of yourself. Even better, you've not let the gremlins get the better of you and my hat is well and truly off!
Everyone gets gremlins (look up the many fabulous articles on imposter syndrome... you get it in all walks of life). Just remember, it's so incredible what you're doing. Most of my friends, even the young and skinny ones, can't run 4k, let alone 8k.
You're amazing, and what an inspiration to others!
