Hi! New runner here chucked the fags replaced with running lol! I’m finding it really hard to run same distance/speed outdoors than treadmill struggling with my breathing any tips or recommendations would be so gratefully appreciated! I’m frustrated as quite “gym fit” and love being on treadmill but struggling outdoors x

Welcome to the forum.

It is not clear whether you are doing C25K, which this forum is primarily devoted to, but it will develop your running ability in a structured way, to get you running for thirty minutes non stop, whether indoors or outdoors. Full details, including advice on breathing are in this guide healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

If you cannot speak aloud clear ungasping sentences as you run, then you are going at an unsustainable pace........slow down. Distance running is not sprinting.

Being outdoors involves you setting your own pace, dealing with gradients and uneven ground and for most people is much harder physically than a treadmill, so it is not surprising that you don't cover as much ground.

The other question is whether or not your gym treadmill is accurately calibrated for distance.
