Hello to all who are just starting & struggling a little. I am doing Week 1 all over again as I didn’t cope too well......but determined to keep going.

Doing some stretches before each Run this week which is helping. Keep going!!! We will get there too.

Keep on keeping’ on Aa! This time last year I was struggling to run 40 seconds! Take your time and trust yourself and the program! Sure, repeat weeks if necessary- it’s very sensible 😋

It took me nine weeks of repeats to conquer week 1, so don’t despair ! The body takes time to adjust to these things, and everyone is different. Always remember the First Rule of C25k: The only run you fail is the run you don’t go for ! Keep having fun out there x

Well done.

Make sure that stretches pre run are dynamic, as linked to in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

In my opinion post run stretching is far more important as it pulls out contractions in warm, supple muscles avoiding carrying them into the next run and improves recovery by improving blood flow.

Some people do struggle a little, especially on week 1, but after that the runs get a little easier, at least for some, just take all the runs slowly, yes, you can repeat any runs or weeks if you wish to, good luck, onwards and upwards, trust the program.

Hi Annieapple (what a lovely name!). Don’t worry about repeating weeks - one forum member did it 9 times before feeling confident enough to move on. Each time you run you’re preparing yourself for the next one - just stay well hydrated and take it slow. You will do it!

Well done. The only way to be a better runner is to run! Determination to keep going is the only prerequisite to success here, keep on running!

As IannodaTruffe has already said, make sure you’re doing the right stretches before a run, the wrong (static) ones can make injury much more likely.
