Thanks to hectic schedule this past few weeks, Saturdays have either been spent doing rugby things, or been my rest day, so this was my first Parkrun on a few weeks.
A brief, but intense downpour accompanied the pre-run briefing, but it stopped just as we started running in much more clement conditions.
It was muddy and slippery underfoot, but that clearly wasn't too much of a hindrance as I posted my new PB for that route.
The post-run coffee and caramel shortbread definitely seed well earned.

Good parkrun result for you today, this morning I ran my first full 5k Parkrun, I was sort of hoping for a sub 40 minute 5K but actually got a sub 35 minute 5K time of 34.16 which is not a PB, but it was ran on some hilly parts.
I do find the difference between running and cycling more tiring, with cycling going up hills, although tiring, once you are at the top you can cycle on quickly, with running, a hill does tire you so much that even on a flat part or running down a hill it is still quite tiring, they say that running on a treadmill, although boring, you can get your fastest time. π
The only time I've run on treadmills were for physio and when I got my gait analysis done. With you on the cycling bit; there's no freewheeling when you're running unfortunately...
Well done on your new pb, excellent work! It's funny that you said no such thing as freewheeling downhill in running - I always feel like it is free wheeling when I run downhill, that's why I love it so much, loads of distance for almost zero effort! π
