Week 7 and my left ankle is painful again! It was fine after my last run on Friday - week 6 - 25mins solid jogging! 😲 but then 2 days later....... limping 😖 Had to rest it for 2 weeks at week 4. So frustrating as I really enjoy it! I’ve changed my trainers the last time this happened and thought it was sorted. My legs hurt every time I run still? Is that normal at my age? Do they ever get used to it!! Really don’t want to give up but maybe my little legs just don’t like it??

Have you put in plenty of strength and stamina work on some of your rest days?
Are you warming up well and stretching well after each run too...?
If your ankle is hurting...is there an injury?

No injury that I know of in the past? Just the one occasion on week 4 I think? I definitely do the warm up walk and warm down walk every time?? Maybe that ankle is just weaker?

The post run stretch link is in there too. We have to build up all of our body..not just the legs..so exercises for feet..calves... ankles etc and core strength work all help.
Non impact exercise includes walking..swimming..cycling.. yoga or Pilates etc..
There are also specific ankle strengthening exercises too. ..I use a quick set of them..to strengthen mine, because I run on fields and trails.
