Still can't find my way round the Nike Run Club app, tried to find the one with fartlets to help me with my speed.... but ended up on a 22 minute "Recovery Run" by couch Bennett... not that I can find any of these coached runs when I look for them (just now).
Anyhow I'd done my 'super-fast-for-me' 5K on Sunday, and then a long brisk 5k walk the day after, then loads of gardening work... on Tuesday, so it turned out that this 'recovery run' (I put in quotes as it may be called something else), yesterday, was just what I needed, as my legs were heavy and I was ever so slow that day.
So if anyone can work this app... have a go with Coach Bennett.

Coach Bennett is amazing... totally crazy on his view on life and running, but that’s a good thing. Runs in the short and long run sections are recovery runs, as are the distance based and headspace ones currently (but there’s talk of a second 5k run which I think may target pace more)... the fartleks you seek are in the speed runs section... some are tougher than others... there’s even one run/recovery version of C25K W1R1 called first speed run.
Nice to have you running with the world’s second best coach... if you need to ask who the best is, you first need to run more with Coach Bennett and he will tell you!
Fartlets, still makes me giggle...so childish! 😆 Love the post, basically I have no idea how I found this coached run but it was fab if you can find it 😊
Well done on your super fast 5K, I'm at 4.5K so far, working my way to 5 hopefully over the next couple of weeks 👍
