Morning all. Just got back from repeating W1D3 after not being able to complete yesterday. I should have had a days rest, but I wanted to beat this thing! I managed to finish my 8 one min runs but it was hard. And hot! I think I might repeat it again on Monday.

What are the thoughts about having a days rest in between run days?

Well done for completing wk1. Rest days are so important it gives your body and muscles the time they need to recover. Running on consecutive days so early on can end up resulting in injury 😊

I did suspect 🙈 would be ok to do walking on the other days?

Definitely a day (or two) between runs - you don’t need to repeat that run, you are ready to move on. Enjoy the fact you have done it - well done!

Do you not think I need to repeat it? It was difficult for me. Slow jogging.

My whole running life is slow jogging but you are building stamina - speed is not a concern right now - Laura is always saying slow down... soon you will feel less breathless and more confident. You deserve to move to week 2 - promise!

Thank you. I have done four sessions at week one so I will give W2 a go on Monday. After a day's rest!

Always..no exceptions at least one rest day..non impact exercise on some of those rest days is brilliant. Swim..walk..cycle.. Yoga...Pilates..garden or Strenght and Flex ...all so helpful!
