I was wondering if anyone else has had the same results? I've always had quite low blood pressure but a high resting heart rate. Before I started c25k my usual resting heart rate was about 78bpm. I'm now on week 8 and it has steadily been dropping and is now around 65bpm. This is all according to my Fitbit btw. I'm thinking this is good news!!
Positive results : I was wondering if anyone... - Couch to 5K
Positive results
My rhr always goes up and down during the month, but the higher this month has been much lower (around 67 Vs 77) and the lowest has gone down to 58 (and still going down). All this according to my Fitbit. I just started week 9, and the "cardio fitness" in the Fitbit app has increased 2 points no significative changes in blood pressure but I was always normal, so I think it's good
Resting heart rate is indeed related to fitness, and we could argue the fact that fitness trackers can be inaccurate during a run (they can pick up cadence) but as you’re not measuring that and also have used the same device for the “before and after” readings, then I think it’s safe to say that your resting rate is dropping nicely... which would make sense with the evident rising fitness when measured against what you’re capable of doing now. Great results for sure... and you’ve only just begun really!
