DONT WEIGH - MEASURE đź“Ź

Not posted in a while but thought for anyone new to C25K I’d let you know of some of the benefits with life after the programme.

I like many others wanted to get fitter as I hit my mid fifties and also lose some weight.

So I started C25K and successfully graduated some three months ago,

I’ve been running 3 or 4 times a week every week since, including on my holidays ( that’s how addictive it is)

I’ve stuck to the 30minutes in the main with some weeks adding either a fast 20 or a leisurely 40 minute run in to mix it up.

People have been saying how much weight I’ve lost and how well I look, so I thought let’s see if it’s true so on the scales I stood AND GUESS WHAT - No significant change - however whilst packing for my holidays I thought I’d try some of my favourite evening dresses on - you know the ones - those you keep because you think you’ll get back in them - GUESS WHAT - I did !! so that’s pretty much over a whole dress size down and they look better than before too, even if I do say so myself.

So I took the tape measure out and WOW what a shock the inch loss is incredible.

So the moral of the story is don’t worry about the number on the scale as it IS working - you will benefit physically and mentally so keep at it and enjoy it.

Happy running everyone.

Great post, definitely don't weigh yourself more than once a month if you can get away with it.

And make sure you don't focus too much on the number. It's great to lose weight, but there are so many benefits... we sometimes don't allow ourselves to see it!

Exactly my point in my post - the scales can be an absolute de motivator for some for all the wrong reasons
