Morning after run

I did my first run of week 4 last monday and hadn't done it again until yesterday.

It was so much harder my body still feels achy and drained. I'm hoping that when I do the last one tomorrow it feels manageable again.

My main pain is just under my right breast down my flank, I think it's a deep muscle ache. It just seems an odd place to suffer a running injury.

I had been out celebrating the night before as it's our 10th wedding anniversary - really hoping that my discomforts and difficulties are because of this.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the lovely weather it does help with 'feeling' like running.

Congrats on the 10 years and well done beating a tough run. Alcohol causes dehydration, and muscles use a lot of water when they’re working. While we may expect that to affect the leg muscles first, a lot of other muscles are working at the same time. Hopefully it was the night before that caused the issue and your next run is smoother.
