Just back from a fairly wet run. It has rained on and off for three days, so the paths were slippery and there were hundreds of slugs and snails going about their business. I had to dodge round them, otherwise it could have got nasty...
The tree branches were heavy with water, bending lower over the path than usual. I got soaked whenever I brushed against them.
After two really good runs, this one was a bit slower and a lot less fun: one of those where you just have to ‘grind it out’. Then again I suppose it’s a good sign that this course has made it possible to grind it out when necessary.
When it started to rain again I found it quite refreshing.

Well done on getting out there when the weather is so grotty!! 👍
I too had a ‘grind it out’ run last week and felt a bit deflated after. The good news is my two subsequent runs have been my best yet so you now have that the look forward to!! I think the nasty runs are a hurdle to our next level of stamina - you’re gonna have some great runs now! 😀 x
Thanks. Yes, that seems to be the way, doesn’t it? You just have to keep going and let it balance out. And even the deflating runs seem worthwhile afterwards. What a strange new world we have uncovered.
