Evening fellow runners, how is it all going? Sarah here, 29years old, fairlly unfit....nah I've just had a 2nd baby my body is shattered 🤣😂 so I decided after that I can do anything; so I've started running...people that knock it....man running is hard work. I ran the R4L on Saturday 5k in 30 mins, got a picci in the paper too (claim 2 fame)I aimed for 30 mins and put myself through my Paces and it was hard on me...so my ankle is aching...ouch so having a rest till I hit the Gym Saturday....I've booked the Leeds Abbey Dash in October 10k...prepping now!

I’ve heard the Abbey Dash is a great race! I’m in West Leeds but already booked on to a different 10k the week before. Great pace on your race for life 👍

It’s the Bramley 10k. I think it’ll be tough, in that it’s hilly (but not like the kind of hills you have!), but some friends were already signed up to it and it was only after I’d committed I realised it would stop me doing the Abbey Dash. My first 10k race is Grim Up North’s canal Canter on 15th June 🤞I’ll aim for the Abbey Dash next year I think 👍

Also have a look at the Bridge to 10k forum: the Magic Plan is great

Well done to you you must be so proud of yourself. I’m going to do a park run after I graduate and then I’m going to train for a 10k and run the greater Manchester run next year as I’ve missed it but I can wait unless I do one later this year happy running 😉🏃🏻‍♂️
