Hi all, first post on here. I'm 51 and overweight but been thinking about C25K for a while, I finally started in April and I'm loving it. I've always wanted to run but just could not understand how people could run for such long periods of time! My sister is a runner and last time she came to stay we went to watch her doing a parkrun and I was truly inspired - so many people of so many ages and shapes (!) just getting involved. So my goal is to do a park run at the end of next month.
I'm wondering how I'm going to get on with the dreaded W5R3 but it's all been ok so far.. just trust the plan I guess...

I read a great post about W5R3 when I was discovering the forum, I can't find it now, maybe one of the admins knows the one I am talking about. But basically it said by the time you have gotten there you have already run, in one session, more minutes than the 20 mins you have to run, so this is just a natural continuation. (ps, I dreaded it too )
Don't dread it, it's a fabulous run! Think of it this way....
It is only 4 minutes longer than the previous run.
It is the shortest session of Week 5.
It is the shortest session since the end of Week 3, so all the sessions leading up to this one have been longer!!
Take it slowly and pace yourself, you will be absolutely fine.
