Wk 5 the dreaded run 3 done ✅ feeling super proud. It’s definitely all in the mind as I kept telling myself I should stop I couldn’t possibly carry on but then I kept repeating to myself think how proud you will feel after it. My face was a blotchy mess but I had a massive grin on it 😎😁

Well done! I did this run yesterday, it's a milestone and a game changer. It's serious running from this point forward!

Well done x

Congratulations on running run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks 🚶 and runs 🏃

Why does it catch people out? I'm really curious about the program & why it recommends leaping forward then jumping backward again? I've just done w5r2.

It is because of the previous non stop run of week 5 run 3, the muscles in the legs don't like going back to walks/runs but if you take the running part slowly you won't have any problems.

Don’t over think it. I built it up in my head that I couldn’t possibly do it. Keep a steady pace & keep thinking how proud you will be at the end. Good luck x

Just take it slow and steady. Circumstances meant that, for me, there was a 5 day gap between doing R2 and R3 that week. Was convinced I wouldn't manage but decided to go for it anyway. Figured the worst that could happen was I'd have to stop and then do it again. As it turned out, I just found my zone and did it anyway. The plan has your body ready for this, unfortunately the mind takes a bit more convincing, but once you've done it, it can't be taken away from you.

Well I didn’t expect that!

I didn’t think it was possible to get slower!
