Is it ok for children to follow this programme?

Just completed my 1st ever run 😀 my question is my son (aged 10) has asked if he can come running with me, is this advised he will be completing the couch to 5k programme with me. I'm up for it just wanted to check the advise when it comes to children

It does mention running with children..but..unfortunately he cannot get the Graduation Badge as he is too young..😔

But lovely to run together if he is up for it..and you take it gently..😊

Yes, he can, and if he persists with c25k he could go on to do Junior Parkruns. My Great nephew who's 8 has done many JPRs with good effect, it's a great outlet for children..

We don’t give a graduation badge for youngsters as they are too young to be on the forum, but if you personal message me with an email address I design one and send it to you as I have always hated the thought we can’t encourage new runners just because of their age. I personalise the certificate for them. It takes me a couple of days. Please feel feee to ask after graduation. Rfc x
