Can I keep Micheal Johnson?

For me this is week 6 and I’m really starting to enjoy my runs.

I do have one worry about graduating, How am I going to say goodbye to Micheal Johnson?

He has been with me every step of the way and I now believe him when he says “you’re going great”.

Has anyone else fallen for their coach?

You can keep Michael Johnston until you graduate and for 6/30 minute consolidation runs thereafter, but I am afraid its goodbye to him after those consolidation runs and then go on to a running app like Mapmyrun where you will here the liking of Alexa telling you pace and distance etc., so don't worry, you'll still have Michael for a while yet. 😊

That’s terrible if you take the personal coach away!

Yes! I am a big fan of Sarah Millican, she's brilliant fun and we're like best friends! I even tweeted her to let her know I think she's the best coach ever!

What are consolidation runs? How do you get to them? And why are there only 6? I want to replay runs as much as I want after graduation!

'What are consolidation runs and how do I get to them'? you ask, you get to them once you graduate, 😁 🏃 🎓they are 6 runs spread over a two week period, just run those on the same days as you were running C25K, 30 minutes long, so at the end of the two weeks, altogether you will have ran 9 times for half an hour including the 3/30 minute runs of week 9. After that you maybe ready to go onto the B210K podcasts if you want to.

I graduated last week and still have Sarah Millican with me for consolidation runs. Can't quite wave goodbye to her yet, she's been so encouraging. And she calls me flower and pet :-)

Can't remember exactly when it is, possibly week 6 or 7 🤗

Ahh lovely MJ! I switched to MJ for my consolidation runs, then when I started longer runs I listened to him for ages just to get me through the first 30 minutes. I also have MapMyRide going at the same time to tell me when I’ve reached a km. Stick to the programme, that’s so important, but apart from that -they’re your rules. Happy running 🏃‍♀️🙂

IKR? I’ve been repeating W9R3 for my consolidation runs* with Michael. I can’t bear the thought of doing it without him!! 😍

*is that what others do to consolidate or am I missing something?

Apparently consolidation runs become available after you have completed W9R3. Can you see them? There are 6 runs!

No, I can’t see any. Maybe it needs an update but I don’t won’t it to lose my progress!

Think he just meant you are meant to do 6 consolidation runs so you can keep with your coach if you want to . I’ve got 3 consolidation runs left and I’ve mixed it up with just music , a podcast and Laura. Up to you but pretty sure there are no extra 6 runs.

Start going to Parkrun. That way you'll find lots of runners you fancy...😉

Definitely. I’m going to aim for next Saturday (it’s always next week right? 😉)

Parkrun is just a little too scary at the mo but that’s my goal.

There are people who START running by going to Parkrun and Walk-Running. It is scary, but, by Graduation from C25K, you will be ready, just be careful, and listen to your body - walk when it tells you.

He is the best isn’t he! I did my w6r2 yesterday and thought that exact same thing. I’m gonna miss that guy 😊

No. I got used to not having the voice after one run. You’ll be fine 👌🏽

I am getting hooked on Sanjeev Kohli as my coach. I love his encouragement. I’m still only at W5R1 so I’ll worry later about what to do to keep hold of him!
