I hit a wall then tunnelled through it

Hi again, I graduated 15th April at the tail end of a virus which I thought had finished but no, the little devil came back and hit me hard so I couldn't run again for a while. Yesterday I tentatively set out to test what I'd feel like after two weeks of not running. It was fab, I felt like I was flying (ha ha, it was like a fast walk really). Forty minutes in the sun, my dog chasing rabbits then sprinting to catch up with me and although I was listening to Laura W9R3 I had Bruce Springsteen's 'Born to Run' as a back track in my mind. It was as if my body knew exactly what to do, did what it needed so I'd say to anyone, when you hit a wall don't despair, you will hit a wall but you will come back, the training is that good. Not liking the kind of music on post grad running apps but I think the Parkrun organisation are producing some, it's something to do with having grown up in the 60s I think, just can't tune into drum and bass or whatever it's called... oh dear, grumbly old woman! But as I've said before Afro Celts seem to be appropriate.

Hehe my running music is quite eclectic. Ska, be bop a Lula and soul funk on my HM 2019 playlist this time. Coming back from a virus can knock your running for six, glad you are over the worst of it, take care. Rfc x
