Athlete’s foot

Week 8, Run 2 complete and I’m 60! Happy with progress even though I’m slow but I have Athlete’s foot. Wanted to finish the programme before going on holiday next week. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, did you stop until it healed?

I’m sorry I don’t have any experience on athletes foot, I know you can get powders that help. Have a great holiday. Rfc x

Hi, I have had athletes foot. Have to wash and thoroughly dry feet after a run. Try to leave shoes dry thoroughly between runs. Sprinkle anti fungal powder on skin between toes beforehand. Washed my trainers with sports was to kill fungal spores. Important thing is to keep on top of it! Pharmacist can give you cream if the infection gets too bad. Soak my feet in salt water sometimes to help drive AF away

Thank you, it started when I decided to run through wet grass as a change from tarmac, I didn’t realise how wet my feet had got. Much more careful now and definitely going to try the anti fungal powder before a run.
