I just did run 3 of week 1. Run number 2 was good - I didn't rush it, followed Laura, kept it slow - job well done. Run 3 - OUCH. About a third of the way through my calf muscles started to feel really tight. It was ok to jog slowly - on my toes practically, but slowing to the walk? Ooft. The numbness was mostly to the outside of my calves, the tops of my feet and around my ankles. I always make sure my trainers aren't laced tightly, and I always try to keep my footfalls light. Does anyone have any advice on sore calf muscles and numb legs and feet?

As said. Stretching is super important. I thought I’d done my knee in and didn’t realise I wasn’t stretching enough. Went to physio and they said basically my calf and glutes were super tight. Like over an inch less movement from my left leg compared to my right.
He gave me stretches to do twice a day and seems to have eased my knee pain.
