You shouldnβt lose any fitness for the first two weeks of not running, so youβll be good to go, slow and steady as you comeback. Heal well.

I didn't run for a month and was ok, but I had worked up to 5km and could still do it after a month on the IC. I think you'll be fine. You might even come back stronger as your body has time to be building muscles while you rest. You could try some upper body exercises while your stitches heal so you don't lose the impetus?!
