So guys, I'm on consolidation runs having graduated 2 weeks ago, and I'm still doing a minimum of 3 runs a week- but varying the route- and have tackled some hills- but my knees are starting to protest- NOT while I'm running but that evening and the following day- I still do my 5 mins cool down walk, but should I do something else? any ideas gratefully received

Well done in consolidation, aches aren’t too much to worry about. You don’t say if you do anything on your rest days... the strength and flex programme is excellent alongside the running and meets the other NHS recommendation of adding to the cardio with a couple of strengthening sessions a week. It worked wonders for my knees and I now do more work alongside that.
Also, are you doing the post run stretches? They help with muscles and the ligaments.
