It happens to us all Z. Graduates or not, believe me :)

Two or three times a year I just...stop...during a run.

Proof we are humans, not Robots :)

You'll make it, never fear :)

Wishing you many happy miles in your future :)

Thanks so much John good to know it happens to those whove even graduated. I was supposed to run yesterday and was a day late in running dont suppose that had anything to do with it. I did some other aerobic training yesterday too. Ok drawing a line under it and moving on ☺

Have you ever had a bad day in other aspect of your life?

Running is just the same.......... maybe even more so, because you are working nearer the limits of your ability.

Everything else going on in your life can impact on your performance, but top of my list of variables are restedness, hydration and nutrition.

It was one run....,.....

Thanks Iannoda I had a good nght sleep and was hydrated and eating well. Being honest it was a mental thing just feeling a little stresssed at the moment. It will be ok ill do it I think I just need to selfcare a bit more. Moving on I wont quit I will finish this programme this time I have a steely determination and I actually love running. Thanks for the support Happy Running ☺👍

I did first run of week 8 on Sunday and actually think I should have stopped my run instead of battling on. It was the first time I did not enjoy it, felt sick and then had the worse back problem I'd ever had later in the day. It put me off tbh. I think you've done the right thing. You know you can do it but in this occasion you listened to your body. Wish I'd done the same.

Thanks Nothingbutlove I suppose as John said we are not Robots and there are days when the super powers need charging. We will finish might not be pretty but we will get there. Happy Running 🏃☺

As others say, it's normal; frustrating, but normal. And don't forget that you did 18 minutes - which may have seemed unreachable not long ago. Just keep on keeping on and you'll find the good runs far outnumber the (inevitable, occasional) duffers.

Why do you feel deflated Z4? You’ve read all the posts that say a run not completed is still a run, haven’t you? You know you can do it - you’ve come so far already without faltering. Pick where you left off and you’ll be fine, you know it! Good luck!

Similar happened to me Monday on w8r1... Just didn't feel I could do it. Spent all day giving myself a pep talk and trying the run again in the morning. Good luck.

Hi, you shouldn’t feel deflated although I completely understand. I got to the exact same point wk7run1 and it was the first time I’d had to stop. I’d only got to 12 mins, then tried again a couple of days later and had to stop again at about 17 mins.

I honestly thought I could not do it and wasn’t ready but then I tried for the third time and as I was warming up walking I saw my lovely neighbour and had a brief chat and he said I should be so proud of myself and that I could do this and then I went on and did!!

I really think it’s mental attitude , be positive, you’ve done amazing to get to where you are and you CAN do it! Good luck for next try!

Hiya, I felt the same too when I couldn’t do it but I think it had stemmed from finding the wk6run3 really hard and I’d subconsciously thought to myself I wouldn’t do it so I didn’t!

Good luck, you will do it , once I had got through that first run, I did all three for week 7 every other day and now I’m on week 8 run 2.

I’m finding it really hard but loving it too.

Believe in yourself! 🏃‍♀️

You went out and run 18 minutes ! Wow. Don't dwell

Everyone has good runs and bad runs.

You may of just gone off too fast or just not feeling 100% today. It happens.

Don't think of it as a fail and more of I just haven't suceeded yet. Not everyone finishes in 9 weeks and that is fine. It took me two years to complete the program properly. Now I am obsessed with this whole running lark.

Try not to dwell on it

yep felt like that too. At some point my legs felt like they were encased in lead boots. I think everyone has that moment at some point. Put it aside and then carry on you will probably find the next run nothing like it....you are nearly there now

Wk 7, R2 this morning and it was the first time I really hated every minute. Definitely an attitude thing as it was the first time I’d put the really sad face on the app before I started the run then it turned out to be true. Happy faces from now on. Good luck!
