After completing W7 last Monday, I thought I’d try a 5k run on the following Wednesday.. I did it! I ran for a whole 5K in 40 minutes πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ I didn’t know if it was a good day or I was just lucky! I went out to run tonight and thought I’d give it a go again, I managed it again tonight in under 40minutes! I am so proud, 11 weeks of sticking to routine and I’ve completed it! So excited to run my first ever park run next weekend πŸ˜„ πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ if I can do it, SO CAN YOU! X

So where are you on the plan now:)

Well done on your 5k, but please stick to the plan.

You have just exceeded the 10% rule used by experienced runners to avoid doing too much too soon.

Because you can do something does not mean that your body is fully conditioned to do it without an increased injury risk. C25K is designed to do that conditioning.

Take care.

The objective of the program is to run for 30 minutes three times in one week. Safely, without injury, on an ongoing basis.

I dream of being able to run for 5 k. On week 4 at the moment and nowhere near 5 k including the walking! But I am enjoying it!

So glad you are enjoying it Myzinnyboy, Week 4 was one of my fave's. Please don't get hung up on your distance, there is no need. What you are doing is brilliant, and what we all did when we started. Keep going, following the program and I promise you will be able to run 5k ( it may be a little while after graduating ) and you will have gotten there safely and with strong legs and stamina!

Onwards and upwards!

😊x
