I've had a rotten winter with a couple of severe chest infections which have had a bad effect on my on going asthma issues. I have been told by my doctor that I have no underlying issues. I have had a chest x ray and blood tests and a cardiogram somI guess Im good to go! My asthma has improved slightly but I still have chest pain and some shortness of breathe. My daughter urged to try this programme . Will begin tomorrow when fewer people are put and about. What a coward!,

Chronic asthmatic getting started!
Take a look at the Japanese slow jogging movement video - it’s on youtube - but it might be really useful for you. It’s low impact and because it’s slow there is not such a problem with breathing. I’d also look at the pace of your ‘brisk walk’ (this is for the warm up and warm down as well as breaks between runs), perhaps warm up slower but for longer? So walk for 5 mins before starting the app - that way your muscles will be warmed up but you won’t risk becoming breathless before you get started. I run following this technique and I love it!
Not at all cowardly. Most of us are shy about running, especially at first. If we were confident about looking sexy in Lycra we’d have been running years ago 😂 You can do this and it’ll do your lungs a load of good. Take it slow and steady, and enjoy the journey x
