I’m just finishing week 7, although I’ve changed it up a bit and I’m actually running a full 30/35 mins, I still like having the app going so I know how I’m getting on.
I’m amazed I’ve actually been able to run so long and find that my breathing is now actually normal throughout. My focus it now starting to change from being able to run to running at a decent pace.
What’s your thoughts on my pace/distance (obviously I’m no Paula Radcliffe, but I’d like to think I’m not sloth slow too).
Thanks

No your not Paula Radcliffe just yet, but soon will be, we'll done on completing week 7, your pace is fine, onwards and upwards to week 8 which are 3/28 minute runs. 🏃
Just in case you do yourself an injury if I was you I would concentrate on the programme now. Do week 8 and 9 as per the C25k plan. So 5 min warm up walk followed by 28 mins run followed by 5 min warm down walk for week 8 and do it 3 times.
There will be loads of time for improvement of your pace when your finished the plan. Just run nice and steady at a comfortable pace for the next two weeks.
Good pace by the way. Really good. We are not trying to be negative but you could get an injury by trying to do too much too soon.
I’m almost a 2 year graduate and I’m only really concentrating on a faster pace now.
I would say it’s probably best sticking to the plan for now, not many weeks left and then you can increase time run by 10% each week after that. Best to build your muscles steadily. I did run longer once because the app stopped ... oops
Anyway what I wanted to say was, try running the first 5 minutes slower, they are your warm up so take it easy and you can increase pace after them.
I really recommend the Nike run ap podcasts they are great coaching and you can do them at the same time as C25k (long run, just go with mo etc).
