Woke up this morning feeling a bit heady (other half had a cold so think he decided to share a few germs with me) so I thought don’t feel 100% let’s have breakfast and take it easy for a few hours. No way was I going to miss my “graduation run” today and drank lots of water and off I went at 10am.
Amazing ! Struggled ! Lept for Joy ! Proud ! This explains my run today and I beat my PB as reached 5.05km (did include 5 min warm up and down) but over the moon - the best bit was I finished my run with a sprint listening to the Rocky soundtrack ! 🥊
A HUGE thank you to each and every one of you who have commented, inspired and motivated me to do this, without you not sure whether I would have got to the end.
I will continue to run 3 times a week and will continue to be on here getting tips etc....Good luck to all of you throughout this journey, be positive and inspired - you can do this !

Thanks Jill, hard going today but got out there and did it. Going to have two rest days then will carry on, thank you for all your lovely comments, motivation and running gear tips. Good luck with your next run.
Absolutely brilliant - you must feel amazing. I have loved seeing your journey on here. Congratulations and keep posting so we can hear about your consolidation and future progress. Chuffed to bits for you
Thanks so much MB - isn’t it a great feeling and you have motivated me throughout whilst reading your posts which made me get up and get out. I’m just going to run 3 times a week for a few weeks and then see what’s next...maybe shorter quicker runs once a week to mix it up a bit to get that heart rate going 🏃♀️ Will keep an eye on your posts to which will give me inspiration !
Thanks so much - yes they put my graduation badge on very quickly. Going to do 3 x 30 minute runs for few weeks and then see what others are doing for inspiration 🏃♀️
I’m so glad it helped! I think it’s a really good way to start, I’m certainly sticking with it for now, and maybe always will run this way. But it’s a great foundation and after consolidation you can choose to stick to it or add more speed generally or for one run? I’m doing 2x30 now with 1 at 45, soon upping that to 50 - but can only add the duration because I’m going slowly! Good luck with the consolidation runs - took me about 6 weeks before I was ready to change things! Perhaps I’m just very slow 🤣🐌🤣
Thank you for the advice, yes I agree was going to just carry on as I am 3 x 30 for few weeks and see how I go...no injuries so far and would like to keep it that way 🏃♀️
Bam bam budda bam badda bam budda bam. Dada da dada da 🤦🏻♂️. Just well done!! Haha. I’m too old to try that. 😂
Ha ha ! Thanks Dave...this did make me chuckle as I was trying to work out if it’s a rocky song ? 🤔 Had a look at Adrienne yoga on You Tube after reading your post...going to give it a go (hopefully I can get up afterwards) 😂
I tried her stuff once. Felt as though I was dying. 😂. Those “yogis”. Blooming brilliant they are. She makes everything look super easy. Let me know when you do it. I will have a go at the same time 😂👍
Doof... doo... doo... doof... oh!! I might have the wrong song... anyway, you go girl!! HUGE congratulations... we didn’t even have any time to moantivate one another, ‘cos you’ve already graduated!! Most excellent news!!
Ha ha ! I’m singing your...doo doofs...out loud. There is plenty more time to “moantivate” as will be staying on here whilst I carry on running...good luck for your future runs and will keep an eye out how your doing. You can do it !
Wow - that is brilliant running with a slight head cold. Congratulations!! I have enjoyed reading your posts here, thanks for the motivation. Time to properly celcebrate now
Thanks so much, yes it came out as a full blown cold later in the day but maybe the run helped it show itself...so few days rest for me. Good luck with all your runs too and I will stay on this forum as it’s great for tips and advice etc 🏃♀️
