Well after 10 weeks (1 week sick) 27 completed runs, a lot of sweat and determination, I have completed Couch 2 5k. Today I ran for 35 minutes and ran 5.118k. I never thought I would have managed it after the first week let alone 10 weeks later!!! Thank you all for your help and advice along the way. I’ve signed up for my local Park run to keep up the good work and keep going! I hit 40 next month and hopefully the next chapter of my life will be a healthy one!

Well done and you should be proud. Feels good, feels really good when you do that last run. Happy early birthday by the way. Just keep running with a smile on your face.

Congratulations! A brilliant achievement. I'm in my early 40s (well, mid-40s now, I guess) and I've definitely noticed a massive benefit from starting running. Honestly, I feel 10 years younger (being a bit lighter helps, too!). Are you going to stick around here to keep us updated on your journey?
