Wow Karenfg, most people who do C25K run a parkrun after they graduate or at least get to week 5 or beyond, you have ran a parkrun before you begin C25K. I think you will sail through the 9 weeks without any problems whatsoever. Although you have ran a parkrun, while you are running all the weeks of C25K do keep ridgidly to the program, no short cuts and definitely no running on consecutive days, good luck. 👍 🏃 😊

Well done on finishing parkrun Number 1. I hope you found it as friendly and as motivational a place as I do and be returning again and again. How much of the parkrun did you run and how much did you walk? If you walked a good section, C25K will set you up for running it all by the end of the course. If you are already running all the way, you are already off the couch! However, the discipline of getting out 3 times a week with C25k will set you up for lots of new PBs in future.

I think I did 50/50 slow jog and walk

That's great. If it were me, I would look at incorporating my future runs into parkrun. Just make one of your 3 runs for the week a parkrun one. Do the run as per the schedule (i.e. walk and run as the C25K schedule for the week) and then just extend the cooldown walk to finish off the 5K. Don't try and move ahead too quickly, but enjoy your parkrun as well (there are lots of them to sample in the future).

Welcome to the forum and well done on your parkrun.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Please don't make the noobie mistake of doing too much too soon.

Enjoy your journey.

Really enjoying couch to 5k. I did my week 3 run one tonight. I found it easier than my week 3 run 3. I also did my 3rd park run on Saturday. Couldn’t believe how far I managed to run before having to walk. So pleased with myself 😊
