Week 6 done!

I'm thrilled to say that I am moving onto week 7! 👍

I am loving my progress, and I'm pretty amazed with myself every time I finish a run.... but I am really hoping that I develop this love for running people speak of now there's no more intervals, and these longer runs make it happen for me! I am getting through it, but "enjoyable" isn't a word I'd choose (I can think of many other words for it tho)! 😂

Glad you are enjoying your running journey Shazzom, your progress is excellent, I am sure C25K has made such a difference to your life and health, onwards and upwards to week 7 🏃 😊

It aint easy. This is a progressive program that gets you from zero to running for 30 minutes. It's a big achievement and takes a bit of hard work. At the moment the feel good comes when you finish a run. There will come a point when you can just go for a run because you want to though.

Ha ha ! I thought I had written this...when people say “enjoy it” I too think of another word that sums it up whilst I’m running (not printable). I’m onto Week 7 tomorrow and thank goodness for no intervals but I say that now may wish for them to return by the end of the week. 😂 Good luck for Wk 7 - we can do this ! 🏃‍♀️

I’ve hardly ever enjoyed the actual running, but I do enjoy the challenge, the improvement in my self esteem and the endorphins. There’s more than one way to enjoy this 😄

Like you am moving on to week 7, I agree with you enjoyable is probably the last word I’d use , but don’t you feel good when you’ve finished ( and a bit smug is that allowed😂)

I’m in the same camp !! Waiting for this ‘Runner’s high’ !! The satisfaction comes from knowing I’ve done rather than the process of ‘running’. But welol done us - as up until recently I put the ‘couch’ in to c2k5 !! 😂 I am beginning to be able to think of other things rather then ‘minutes run’ when I’m running so at least that’s something !! Keep on running 🏃🏻‍♀️

I think I get it now.... I'm 2 runs into week 7, and when that half way bell dings I feel comfortable, and know I can finish. Before this week I've never considered finishing as guaranteed, whereas now I feel like it is. So even though it's still not what I'd call "enjoyment" I feel really good about that feeling, so I shall settle for that haha.

I've been speeding up for the last 4 minutes to build myself for the 28 minute runs next week so hoping week 8 feels just as positive too. 🏃🏼‍♀️
