Oh I'm so sorry, you've fought for so long to get running again. Can you continue with your other sports?

Don't give up Garden17, some doctors are very unsympathetic to anyone over 60 years of age telling them that they are too old to run, however, in your case you must not run for at least another 4 weeks, after that you can ask the doctors at the hospital who are dealing with your ankle brace if there is any chance of returning to running in the foreseeable future.

You have the sympathy of all of us.

As AlMorr says, you never know what the future will bring.

Best wishes.

Damn. Sorry to hear this. Hopefully that doctor is wrong... if not, you beat the challenge of this plan, and it’s a tough one, so find something you’re injury will allow and get the same benefits that this gave you. Good luck with everything.

Time to take up music 🎵? I bought a cello when I was on the IC although the only thing I can play at all well is a school recorder. Music has the same side effect as running, it makes you feel better. Is there a choir or drumming group you could join? Rock choir is good fun. Or a penny whistle is cheap but effective (and a lot easier to carry around than a cello). I hope your ankle gets serous about mending soon.
