Prep all done. Now rest

So a 5k and a 4k done this week along with a gentle cycle. All prep done I hope. Stretching and bed early I've been told today and tomorrow. 1st race coming up on Sunday but you know what I've found this week, all this prep work is hard. Don't over stretch, don't over work. Don't eat this or that, eat this before that. I don't know if I could be bothered with this for a race everytime. Starting to think I was right in just to do it all with myself or a mate if I can with no stress. Anyone else thought this in a build up to a race? Granted I ain't going to be in the top 100, my aim is to match or beat my personal efforts...
