Are you kidding me! Just peeped and saw a straight 20 min run. Crikey!
I started this unlikely journey as an overweight 66 year old trying to get fit and lose weight. Ok so getting to w5 is mind blowing in itself. Who would have thought I would be disciplined enough? But this plan is sneaky isn’t it. It reels you in and persuades you it is doable.
The weight is another issue! I was so busy congratulating myself on actually running I celebrated by eating!!! Duhhhh! So I’ve actually put a couple of pounds on which nearly derailed me. I nearly derailed me! But I hold on to the thought I am still running and I acknowledge what I’ve done - and to be honest my clothes feel better as I’ve lost inches (some) if not lbs!
Come on girl. Get a grip and do this! #thisgirlcan #thisgirlwill

I started as a 66 year old and went through the same emotions. I just took the long runs at the slowest pace imaginable with nothing in mind but running non-stop for the allotted time. So you are absolutely right, you can do it. Think🐌
It persuades you it's doable because it is and the app has more faith in us than we do lol.
I completed week 5 on Sunday and after doing run 2 and almost crying with proudness I was super excited for week 3.
Just take it slow and when you feel like stopping slow it down even more. You'll amaze yourself at what you can do and from that point on the challange becomes a mental challange more than a physical challange.
You've got this!
Also try running before you have a big meal and it might help put an end to the snacks. I run before dinner and that helps me not add any more calories than what I already would've been 😊
