It's not really designed for losing weight. That'll mostly happen with your diet.

As for time of day, it's all down to personal preference. When you feel like doing it, when you are able to do it, etc. I like to get up and go in the morning. Have a drink of water, nothing to eat, brush my teeth and out the door! And then it's done and I can get on with my day.

When I come back, I make a quick smoothie - almond milk, banana, cacao powder and some almond butter all whizzed up.

Very good luck to you.

Good luck with your new venture. It will make you feel amazing. I combined this app with a healthy diet and I have lost a significant amount of weight. And it feels fantastic. I tend to run first thing in the morning as I feel more motivated. Evening runs are good too as long as you aren’t too tired at the end of the day.

Good luck!

Hey welcome to Couch to 5k ☺️

Everyone is different but I'll share what works for me.

I work stardard 9 to 5 office hours so I plan my runs for after work but before dinner.

I don't think the app is designed for weight loss however it will get you moving and lead the way for more exercising.

I'm currently calorie counting while eating healthier while doing the challange because I'm trying to lose some weight too so I'm eating in a deficit.

I have a large lunch at 1pm which fuels me right up till my run and during it and have dinner about 7pm.

Because everyone's different I can't say to not eat before a run but personally I feel sick of I try and run straight after eating and find my run builds up an appetite anyway so if I ate before it I'd likely just binge afterwards.

Tips for the runs would be start slow, the more you use this forum you'll see that being one of the biggest tips people give. Personally I do a juffle which is just a jog/shuffle type of movement.

Watch some stretching videos and work a stretching routine into the end of every run, it makes such a difference.

The challange may seem difficult at first and you might find yourself praying to hear the end of each run (alot of us did) but really the first run is the hardest and it'll get easier as you go.

Good luck 😊

The time of day is totally up to you, for me I run in the morning and have a tea and a Belvita breakfast biscuit make sure you are drinking water 7 days a week not just on running days. Now onto weight loss you have to watch what your eating and also it not really until you are onto the longer runs you start to notice a change ,my weight is still coming off gradually and my body shape has changed as well so good luck 😊

Brilliant tips already given above.

I run early morning before eating otherwise I feel sick and get a stitch. I drink sips of water as I go and concentrate on breathing through my nose a bad out through my mouth. Helps me to "juffle" along. Magpieing this phrase from above.

So I don't have time during the week to run in the morning, so I go out straight from work. I find if I rest when I get home I would never go out, so its straight home and change. As everyone says slow and steady wins the race. I too am stealing the word "juffle" from now on but that is exactly what I do. Follow the plan, slow down if it gets too much and believe you can do it. If you don't manage a run one day what's the worst that can happen. As for weight loss, I'm doing a healthy eating plan and the two combined is working wonders, nearly 2st off since November. Good luck and trust the plan because it doe work🤞🤞🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🤗🤗
