So you'll have seen in my last post that I struggled to complete this run a couple of days ago on the dreadmill, so today I decided to try again outside. Well, it was difficult as a) I had no idea where I was going and b) it's nice and hilly around here, but I'm happy to say this time I kept going and jogged for the full 20 minutes! Okay, I stopped twice to open the gate in and out of this park I found, but that was less than 5 seconds so I'm not counting that. π
It was nice having the wind blowing in my face and even nicer having passers by complimenting me for going out jogging in winter. The soles of my feet hurt a little more than they would on a treadmill but my shins were absolutely fine, so it was pretty easy to keep going. And not having a timer staring you in the face seems to make the time go quicker too. So yeah, that's that and I will be sticking to running outdoors when I can! Onwards!

Yep, they have been a constant part of my journey first mentioned back here healthunlocked.com/couchto5... a quick rereading of which reveals my individual gate operation timing as not being quite as fast as I recalled.
I've just done the same run today and so glad I managed to get outside to do it. I've struggled with the treadmill for the last 2 runs and know what you mean about that timer!
Whoop well don't ThatTrainGeek! Knew you would do it when outside! I think you hit the nail on the head. Seeing that timer in front of you certainly makes every minute feel twice as long! And you can't beat a good breeze! πππ
