Question about hair!

Don't know if this is a strange one... But as running makes me sweat a lot my hair gets very yukky looking! I have long hair down to my waist which I usually wear in a ponytail or bun and of course it's only the top that gets sweaty and gross. I don't get time to wash and dry my hair until late evening. Is there anything I can do about this? I was wondering about those so called dry shampoos you can get? Just to spuce it up between running and bath time?

You should see mine right now. Just got in. Strong westerly wind and sand blasted. Nice! I do have time to wash mine but I used to have a job where there was enough time to do circuit training at lunch time but no time for complete hair wash. I just combed it back into a bun. Or you have a really fast wash and tie it back wet?

When I was a teenager ( a long time ago), I was known to wash just the roots of my (then) very long hair as a temporary solution. I had my hair tied back, so the length stayed dry. Just a gentle rub into the scalp of tiny amount of shampoo, rinse with the shower head, wrap with towel.

It may be worth a try. I havnt yet found a dry shampoo I like.......I just wash my now shorter hair almost daily.

You have my sympathy. My hair is long and very curly. When I wash it, I have to dry it and straighten it otherwise I look like a massive pompom. It takes ages. So I run after work. I then shower and wash hair, let it dry naturally at home where no-one can see me, then straighten it in the morning before work!!

I got fed up with this too and could see two possible answers... run longer so that the sweat had time to work it’s way down on the run 😂 or shave my head... then I injured my ankle so my hair is 3 feet shorter than it was! Of course now I look at some of the responses on here and dry shampoo would have done the job too... oops!

Wish I could experience this problem and advise you but I can't cos I'm a baldie - a quick scrub with shower gel and I'm done 😂🤣😂

Hahaha great responses to a very mundane issue 😸😸😸 looks like I will have to try the dry shampoo.... Or go bald. Lol.

I always wondered who or why anyone used dry shampoo ... Maybe this is why it's still around!
