So on Monday I restarted c25k, I attempted w1r1 but only managed just over half🙈 I had awful screaming pain in my lower calves that forced me to stop, I did try and stretch it out throughout my run but nothing helped. I run on a treadmill btw. Going back to the gym today to reattempt w1r1 hopefully will try and complete it all this time round 🙈 wish me luck

Welcome back. Maybe slow it down, maybe hydration could be better, maybe get the feet landing flat and under the body... there’s a few things that could have the calves hurting... hopefully you’re fine now you’re not running?
You can do this... and you’ll be all set for a wonderful spring with lots of runs!
Thank you, I was at a steady pace for me on the treadmill, wasn’t really getting out of breath but obviously breathing heavier then normal and heart rate picked up slightly.
Yes my calves have been fine since, I had some minor aches but nothing that a few stretches and a hot bath didn’t sort out. Will see how I go this time round! I’m a bridesmaid in April so would like to lose a few lbs by then. I’m on my 2nd week into my healthy eating diet and my first week of running, hopefully the running will help with an extra loss each week. I have 12 weeks till that day so will keep posting and hopefully you guys will keep me motivated 😀

Good job getting on the healthy eating.., I’m sure you’ll look fab at that wedding... running compliments weight loss with some toning up, which I’m sure you’ll be happy with.
