It does feel like a big jump but you can do it. You’ve already run 16 minutes and you can easily run 4, so it’s not as big as it sounds. I find it helps to go out thinking “Let’s see how far I can get” rather than “I must do this !” Make sure you stay hydrated. Ignore the Voices saying you can’t do twenty minutes: you don’t have to do twenty, just the next one - and the next one - and so on. Finally, I offer the sound advice of my former driving instructor: “When in doubt, slow down !” Get out there and nail it - we’re all right with you x

Hey - I achieved w5r3 yesterday. I live near the sea and ran along the (flat) prom - weather conditions were just right. 10 mins into the wind (well it was a slight breeze thankfully) - then turned back and 10 mins with the wind behind me. Think it helped me achieve it and felt glad to hear Jo Whiley chip in to say I’d done it !!! Good luck fellow runner x

Hi! You are not alone, many of us have struggled with the 20 min idea before doing it. This is the reason why there is even a post about it by our mentor IannodaTruffe : healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

And for me it ended up being one of the most amazing runs I’ve had so far!!! 😍

The program works and you have been building all what is needed to complete this one! So trust the program, trust yourself, take it slow and steady as usual 🐌 and you will be posting later today with a big grin on your face! 😃

I loved this run!! Toxic ten for the first ten minutes. After that l enjoyed my run. Took it nice & steady & eased back a bit. You’ve done the training for this. Nothing to fear 👍🏻

THERE IS NO MASSIVE JUMP IN WEEK 5!!!!!!!!!!

As the post linked to by Whatnog says, W5R3 is the shortest workout since W3.

Trust the plan.......believe in yourself.
