Well, that was so much harder than week 1. The first half harder than the second half - and I’m really sweating πŸ˜…. Going to give myself 2 days off and do the next run on Monday. God I’m knackered!! πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ How can it feel so much harder when it’s only an extra 30 seconds??

You are knackered because you probably ran too fast, slow and steady us the mantra slogan for C25K.

For run 2 of week 2 take the running parts slower than you did today, that way you should not be as knackered as you were after run 1 of week 2.

How fast is too fast? I thought I was going pretty slow πŸ€£πŸ˜‚. I am a complete virgen runner!! I’ve never ran before ever so I thought my running pace was just a bit faster than my brisk walk 🀣

AlMorr is right. As my former driving instructor used to say, β€œWhen in doubt, slow down !” Taking two rest days sounds sensible. Remember your body is either new to this or just beginning to rediscover itself, and be kind to it. Enjoy the journey x

I felt like that too but after reading some forum posts, i slowed right down on my w2r2 and actually really enjoyed it! Also didn't feel like I was going to die at the end of it for the first time!! I'd just leave one day if you can and try again, you might just surprise yourself, I certainly did!!

Hi, I too did W2R1 last night and have my two day rest now. I took it steady as didn't want to knacker myself as I class myself as fairly unfit. I was surprised that regarding distance I completed exactly 2 miles which was identical to 2 of my W1 runs despite the extra minute's run. And although I did get more of a sweat on and was breathing more heavily than on previous runs, I felt fine afterwards. I had a real good stretch and have no aches today. Hope you're feeling good today too.
