After my meltdown on Sunday, I attempted my second run tonight and managed it all!!
I know itβs only a tiny step forward but I honestly probably wouldnβt have tried again and given up if it wasnβt for everyone on here.. so thank you all
Well done for getting back out there and not giving up. We all have bad runs from time to time but I always think a bad run is better than no run, and it prepares you for the next one. This Forum was a godsend for me when I first started so keep checking in... everyone's here to support you πͺπ
Yey well done, i was thinking of you tonight and wondered if you would be out but couldn't remember your name... should have really since it's my name too π€£ let me know how you get on...I'm out Friday as I'm too busy Thursday.
Ahh thank you!! Iβve just seen that you did yours too, well done π thatβs so strange Iβm busy Thursday too so going out Friday - looks like weβre in it together haha. Good luck! Xx
Saw this post and just went back to read your original one. Well done for getting out there again tonight and fantastic that you achieved it! It may seem like a tiny step but that step out of the front door is HUGE, especially if you haven't been happy with the previous run.
Three months ago I went out for the very first run of the very first week and after 5 of the one-minute runs I was sitting on a bench, head between my knees, telling myself (inside my head because I had no breath left to even whisper anything out loud) that I would not throw up in a public park in broad daylight. The support of this forum, plus a healthy dose of I-will-not-be-beaten bl**dy-mindedness, got me my 'graduate' tag on 20 December and I can guarantee that if you keep coming back here for support and advice, and keep putting one foot in front of the other, you will get yours too! I'll look forward to hearing how you get on with your next runs!
Haha I have such a smile on my face after reading this!! Thank you for such kind encouraging words. Well done on graduating!! It must feel amazing and by the sounds of it you definitely deserve it ππ
Truly, it does feel amazing and if I could bottle that feeling and give a little sample to everyone who has had a 'wobble' it would be enough to keep them going right to the finishing line! You will get there and you won't stop grinning for a week (at least!) X
Well done!! Youβve proved to yourself that youβre stronger (physically and mentally) than you thought you were. Keep reminding yourself of how good this success feels as itβs a fabulous feeling π x
Very well done. While you call it a tiny step forward, I think youβve made two huge ones... you completed a run and have that buzz... and you didnβt quit, you came back and worked hard. Enjoy run 2.
