So today I went to the gym to do w7r1 and it started off badly and only got worse!! I managed around 8 mins and had to stop. My breathing was shocking and legs felt so heavy!

What went wrong?

It happens! The January gremlins strike without reason. I’m a new graduate & I’m only managing 20 mins at the moment whereas I was up to over 40 in Dec. I’ve been advised that any run is a good run, no matter how bad it seemed and to persevere until the good runs come back. Just try again in a couple of days and put this one behind you. 🤞🏼

Maybe you went off too fast, you weren’t hydrated adequately, not enough fuel in the tank? Or maybe it was just one of those days.

They happen. Don’t let today bother you, it was still a run to add to your new running legs. 👍 Try again next time and you’ll be fine. We all have less than perfect runs sometimes. 😀

Apparently you will have bad days! Put it behind you and go again!

Some runs are like this.. tiredness... the festivities catching up with us.. a bug maybe... just put it behind you and then do the run again, Try to relax into the longer runs...

I found heavy legs seem to connect with poor hydration. Keep those fluids up, get a good rest, and come back and nail the little so and so 😄
